Tonisha Tagoe is an institutional leader, AI governance advisor, and the CEO and Founder of Apples & Pears — a multi-sector firm operating across digital products, editorial services, and startup development. With over 17 years of professional experience spanning senior academic leadership, corporate strategy, entrepreneurship, and institutional advisory, Tonisha has built a career defined by the conviction that technology should serve people — not the other way around. Tonisha's academic career includes serving as Dean of Learning and Teaching and Head of Undergraduate Studies, as well as Deputy Head of the School of Leadership and Management at Arden University — a multi-campus institution spanning the UK, Germany, India, Pakistan, and the UAE. In these roles, she led curriculum design, quality assurance, faculty development, and academic strategy across international campuses. She holds an MBA in Educational Leadership and Management from Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge), a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice (PGCHEP) from the University of Plymouth, and a First-Class BSc in Oil and Gas Management from Plymouth. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and is currently pursuing a PhD in Cyber Security of Smart Energy Grid Systems at the University of East London. She is the author of SOVEREIGN: Who Owns the Future?, a 100,000-word investigation into AI governance, digital sovereignty, and the geopolitical architecture shaping our technological reality.
